Dear Yorkshire Family,

By now, I am sure most of you have heard my big news! But if not, I would like you to hear it from me: My husband, David, has accepted a position as the Executive Pastor at Newport Church, outside of Lititz.
After a lot of prayer and consideration, we both feel called to ministry together, so I will be leaving Yorkshire at the end of April. My last Sunday will be April 24th.

I want to say thank you. After almost 10 years of ministry here, I can say with certainty that it is because of the support and encouragement of this congregation that we feel confident and ready to step into this

new role as a couple! I cannot say thank you enough to all of you who have spurred me on in my ministry. For all your affirmation of my ministry over the years, I cannot say thank you enough.

When I came to Yorkshire as a fresh-faced 22 year-old, straight out of college, I had no idea what I was doing. But this congregation has helped shepherd me and given me opportunities to discover my gifts! For example, I had no interest in preaching when I first started here. It was your encouragement that made me try that in the first place and allowed me to discover a gifting I did not know I had!

Yorkshire Church has always been a place that cares for their young people and I felt that, both as the pastor overseeing the young people and as a young person myself. As you look to the future and where God might be leading you next, please do not lose this wonderful trait. Our teenagers and young adults need a church family who believes in them, who disciples them, who allows them to discover their gifts. Yorkshire Church is that church family.

While I will greatly miss all of you, I am so excited about what God is going to do next! He is calling David and I elsewhere, which means He is doing a new thing here as well! My prayer for you is that

you would continue to seek God and His kingdom first, that you would never stop diving into scripture, learning more about who He is, and spending time with Him in prayer. May this transition be the start of something wonderful for you! I am reminded of one of my favorite worship songs: “You were faithful then. You’ll be faithful now.” God faithfully brought me to you. And God will faithfully do an even greater work in you after I leave.
